WE WILL GO TO WAR IF ANY IGBO MAN IS TOUCHED BY NOTHERN YOUTHS - Orji Uzor Kalu

Orji Uzor Kalu has indicated his readiness to lead Igbo people to war if any Igbo man is killed as a result of the recent quit notice issued by some northern youths

The former governor promises war if any Igbo man is harmed

He said people who issued the quit notice are not reasonable northerners

Former Abia state governor Orji Uzor Kalu has assured all Igbo people that no harm will befall them in the face of current agitation for Biafra an most notably the quit notice issued by some youths in the northern part of the country.

In an excerpt from Dr Orji Uzor Kalu's interview on AIT on Tuesday July 11, Kalu argued that nobody can touch the Igbo people in any part of the country, because Nigeria belongs to all.

He also sounded a note of warning that if any Igbo man is touched as a result of the recent quit notice, Nigeria will go to war and he would lead the war.

"Nobody can touch Igbos because this is our country. If anybody kills any of our brothers, we will go and fight back. We will not take it lightly that anybody kills any of us and then you will tell us to go and take it lightly again; no! We will not take that.

"Anybody that touches any Igbo man because of the quit notice ; the country will go into war, and I will lead the war; if Igbos are touched.

"The quit notice means nothing; I know when northerners speak, I will see their hand when they speak, I was trained by them so I know when they are serious.

"No reasonable northern elder will do that; did Adamu Ciroma say so? Did Babangida say so? Did President Abdulsalam say so? Will Aliko support that? Only people who are looking for cheap popularity.”

"When you say northern elders, I don’t know whether Sultan, Emir of Kano and his likes are asking us to quit. If all these people come out and say we should quit; we will quit. We are not afraid of quitting. But Nigerian unity is more important," he said.

Dr Orji Uzor Kalu former Abia state governor has pleaded with Nigerians to stop criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari's led administration.

The former governor asks Nigerians to support the president for the sake of the desired change wanted by all.

Kalu insisted that President Buhari is currently doing well and needed the support of every Nigerian.
